Kayla is interested in assessment

What do you think is the best way to assess students who are being taught virtually?    How would you go about doing that type of assessment?   How would you monitor student answers on assessment tests?

Anagabriella has some questions

Now with the semester ending, what do you feel was your biggest

challenge this semester while dealing with online learning? Were

their any challenges shared by both you and your cooperating teacher?

How did the hybrid structure work for you? What are you most excited about

when you think of student teaching next semester?   Do you feel your comfort

level with regard to online learning has changed from the beginning of the

semester to now?

Faith D'Angelis wants to know how we are doing emotionally

Now that we all have interacted with the students in our respective classes, in one way or another,  how do you evaluate their mental health? In addition, how has your cooperating teacher’s mental health been? Do you feel that this virtual and/or hybrid teaching structure has affected the mental health of both students and teachers?  What makes you say that?  Are you looking forward to teaching these students next semester?   Are you preparing for a virtual teaching delivery?   How are you doing that and how are you doing mentally?

Now that almost all of us have been observed by our supervisor for at least one lesson, what were you most nervous about? Was your supervisor able to watch your lesson in person? Were you able to walk around your class and interact with the students? Did you feel like you were able to get your goals and objectives across fully, given the circumstances?  On the other hand, did you feel that your supervisor's comments and suggestions were helpful and "on target" or did your supervisor have a problem understanding all of the issues with which you had to contend?    Let us know.

Kathryn is concerned about covering content during the COVID-19 pandemic

Is your cooperating teacher delivering lessons using a totally virtual or hybrid

delivery model?  As you observe these lessons, what have you noticed with regard

to the amount of time dedicated to each subject?  In essence, has your teacher been

able to dedicate time to each of the subjects that he/she is required to teach at

that grade level? Has he/she been devoting more time to certain subjects than to

others?   Which subjects have been given the greatest amount of time and attention

during this online teaching period?   Have you found that some subjects are being

not given any attention?   Which subjects are they?    Do you feel that some/many

children are struggling academically as a result of the delivery method they are

receiving?   How do you think that this teaching approach will affect student

scores when they are required to take state tests?  Why?

Faith F. has concerns about students with learning difficulties

Doing school online is hard for everyone, but it is especially hard on the students. They
do not have access to everything they need to learn properly. Both general education and
special education students are struggling during this time. Has your cooperating teacher
done anything to help the students who are having a harder time learning the material?
Have you seen any differentiation throughout the virtual learning experience?
If so what are some of the strategies that you have been seeing?

Danielle has a serious student observation requirement question

What do you anticipate will be the hardest part about
teaching our lessons virtually and being observed by our supervisor
this semester?    What are you doing to get yourself ready for this
challenge?   How are you preparing?   Are you going to teach small
groups of students or are you expected to teach the entire class?
